Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey


The William Tell Coleman Library houses a print collection that supports teaching and research at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. The library is also the gateway to a wealth of online research materials.


The Library houses a collection of over 100,000 volumes and 400 print periodical subscriptions. One third of the collection is in languages other than English. Subject strengths of the collection include bilingual and multilingual dictionaries and glossaries, international business, language teaching, international environmental issues, nonproliferation, international development and human rights. The Library purchases books and maintains print and online subscriptions in support of the MIIS curriculum in international business, international policy and development, language teaching and translation and interpretation. The Library's DVD collection focuses on international documentaries and foreign language films.
