We are currently accepting applications for this summer on a case-by-case basis. Please review the late application process below.

Incoming Middlebury Institute graduate students: submit the MIIS student application form. If you submit an application online and pay the $50 fee again, this fee will not be refunded.

Step 1: Submit an Application

The 2015 application deadline has passed, but we are still accepting applications on a case-by-case basis depending on the language and level. To begin the late application process, please use the Apply Now button to access the PDF application. Complete this document and return it via email, postal mail, or fax.

The application fee of $50 is waived for incoming and current MIIS students (use blue button above) or anyone being referred by a MIIS or SILP alumnus. 

Step 2: Submit Academic Transcripts

All applicants must submit academic transcripts to complete their application packet. Incoming Middlebury Institute students do not need to re-submit transcripts to the Institute.

Step 3: Take the Preliminary Placement Test

Unless you are an absolute beginner, you are required to take the online preliminary placement test before your application is considered complete. Each applicant will receive emailed instructions for completing the online test within 2-3 business days of submitting the online application.

Applicants will be notified of an admissions decision one to two weeks after completing the Preliminary Placement Test.
