Welcome to the Monterey Institute!

Congratulations on your scholarship and welcome to the Monterey Institute! We are delighted to host your Fulbright English for Graduate Studies Program. This activity is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs as part of its Fulbright Program, the U.S. government’s flagship international exchange program supported by the people of the United States and partner countries around the world. This activity is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE).

Program Schedule & Course Descriptions

During your three-week stay with us in beautiful Monterey, California, it is our goal to provide you with the most effective and useful training in American academic and community culture, public speaking, research, and technology, as well as strategies for making the most of your time outside of the classroom. Our objective is to make your transition from your native country to your host university a positive and successful one.

Program Faculty & Staff

We have an excellent group of faculty and staff members who are excited to welcome you to Monterey in July. You will have four dedicated instructors teaching your academic courses. There are four enthusiastic activities guides who will be taking you on excursions and helping you get to know more about Monterey and the U.S. Finally, there are a number of administrators who will be helping make sure that the program and your experience are smooth and enjoyable.
