English for Diplomats
Our programs offer intensive English language instruction for diplomats at various levels of expertise. We accommodate our students' schedules, language abilities, and specific learning goals with a variety of program lengths and structures.
Program Description
Our curricula integrate skill-based and content-based language instruction in both one-on-one and group environments. Content courses and workshops that incorporate trade and policy studies, economics, negotiation, and conflict resolution are offered as part of a progressive and innovative curriculum.
Program Options
Option I. Customized Training for Diplomats (One-on-one, small groups)
Offers a flexible schedule, open program dates, and a completely customized curriculum designed to suit the specific needs of the client(s).
- 60 hour minimum
- No minimum language requirement
Option II. Integrated Academic Program (One-on-one, small groups)
Integrates skills-based language courses with graduate-level content-based courses in international policy management studies providing participants with regular interaction with students and faculty who are working directly in the field of diplomacy and international relations.
- 1-2 academic semesters
- Minimum language requirement 100+ TOEFL iBT (600+PBT) or equivalent
Option III. Integrated Small-Group Custom Program:
Offers a unique opportunity for participants to hone a range of field-specific language skills in a curriculum tailored to the needs of the group. Participants will also integrate with graduate school students and faculty through the English for Professional and Academic Purposes coursework.
- 1-2 academic semesters
- Minimum language requirement 65-100+ TOEFL iBT (500-600+ PBT) or equivalent
- Must enroll as a group and have similar language levels
