Self-assess your foreign language proficiency.
Take our Diagnostic Language Test
Interested in determining whether or not you meet the general requirements of our Language Studies Program? We offer diagnostic tests for all languages in the graduate school programs:
These diagnostic tests are solely for the purpose of estimating your level prior to enrollment. You will still be required to take a placement test before being accepted into the Language Studies Program.
Non-native Speakers of English
Non-native English speakers are required to show TOEFL or IELTS scores.
If you find your foreign language skills are not at the level you need for placement into our graduate programs, contact Languages Studies Advisor Naoko Matsuo at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or concerns. Our Summer Intensive Language Programs are also available for students interested in improving their language skills prior to commencing their graduate studies.
Note: Applicants to the Summer Intensive Language Programs should take the SILP diagnostic tests.
