Teresa is Director of Localization at Salesforce.com, a leading cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco. Teresa leads the R&D Localization team, which is responsible for localizing all platform offerings at Salesforce.com. Teresa gained her localization experience by working in a number of Silicon Valley companies, including Google and PGP Corporation. During her tenure at Google, she led Google’s Localization team as acting Manager for Localization and Global Content, and later, the newly-formed Localization Operations team, focusing on process and tool design as well as vendor and quality management. In 2009, Teresa joined Salesforce.com as the Sr. Localization Manager in charge of the R&D Localization team. With over 15 years of experience in the localization industry, Teresa speaks frequently at industry events and conferences. Teresa has been the organizer and co-host of the Annual Localization Unconference in Silicon Valley since 2009.

TIAG 8693 - Localization as a Profession
This course provides students with a basic understanding of the buyer side of the localization industry. Students will learn principles of vendor management, including budget evaluation and contract administration, as well as supply chain management, and tools and processes for measuring success.
