Previous Work

I am an internationally recognized auditing and sustainability business advisor, with global experience in sustainability finance and reporting, corporate governance, forensic accounting, and supply chain management. With 30 years of "Big 4" consultancy experience, I successfully dealt with the unique challenges facing many multinational companies and investors on how to understand and integrate complex sustainability issues and dilemma's.

I was the founding partner of KPMG Global Sustainability Services, and in this role advised many thought leadership organizations on non-financial measurement and reporting topics. As the former leader of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in New York City, I was directly engaged in several emerging global legislation and capital market initiatives such as the WFE (World Federation of Exchanges) Sustainability Working Group. As a senior leader at PwC I was the co-founder of PwC's Conflict Minerals Dodd-Frank Section 1502 Center of Excellence.

My Dutch roots provide me with a unique cultural balance that contributed to strengthening the impact of several sustainability and supply chain programs. I am currently CFO of ECrent US and also a Business Advisor for Restore the Earth Foundation. Formerly I was engaged as a Teaching and Advisory Fellow at Boston College Center of Corporate Citizenship, Special Advisor to the Global Initiative for Sustainability Rating (GISR), and Senior Advisor to the CSR Group LLC,
