Students enrolled at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies have an opportunity to augment their studies with coursework at CSUMB.

Enrolled students are non-degree students who receive full credit in the course. While students do not pay additional tuition at CSUMB, students will be responsible for any additional special course fees associated with some classes.

Access will be limited to students determined to be qualified by the course instructor and availability of space in the requested course, with the understanding that priority will be given to students of the home institution.

Students may register for up to four credits per semester as part of the exchange. It may be possible to register for more than four units provided there is available space in the course and they have obtained instructor consent as well as the approval of the Dean in the relevant school or department.

If you are interested in taking a course at CSUMB, please talk with your advisor first to discuss how the course fits into your study plan. You will also need your advisor's signature on your registration forms. To register, you will first submit the PDF iconMIIS-CSUMB Registration Form to the Office of the Registrar at CSUMB. Once you've registered with CSUMB, please visit our Records Office to add CSUMB 8500A to your course schedule.

When the course is completed, an official transcript must be requested by the student and sent to the home institution. At both CSUMB and MIIS, courses will be listed on the student’s final transcript.
