By the time Sunder Ramaswamy assumed his new role as President of the Monterey Institute on January 1, he was already a familiar face on campus. As director of the Middlebury-Monterey Task force, he had spent a substantial portion of the past three years working on issues central to the “docking” of MIIS with Middlebury College, making numerous trips to Monterey and getting to know faculty, staff and students.

With his new role came new opportunities to speak publicly about issues facing MIIS today, the value of a MIIS education, and what shape the future may take.

His profile was recently in the Monterey Herald.
