Monterey Institute students Lorraine Githiora (MPA ’10) and Abigail Bree Bacon (MPA ’09) will travel to the University of Texas at Austin this weekend to participate in the second annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University. The invitation came as the result of Bree and Lorraine’s successful proposal for a community-centered podcasting program aimed at raising awareness of human rights issues. The Monterey Herald spotlighted the two MIIS students in a feature article. For more about the meeting itself, see the CGI U site.
