Deputy Director Patricia Lewis of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies is quoted in a recent issue of the journal "Science" regarding her current research analyzing nonproliferation-related materials captured by the U.S. military in Iraq in 2003. Regarding her research, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense’s new Minerva grant program, Lewis explains that “I’m interested in how we interpret information and how we too often see things in the light of what we already believe… Biases are everywhere, and the worst sorts are those that aren’t disclosed.”
