The Northern California Translators Association (NCTA) announced recently that it is extending a free six-month membership in the nation’s largest and most active local translation organization to all 2009 graduates of the Master of Arts in Translation, Interpretation and Localization Management Program at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in recognition of their achievements and to provide them a pathway into the world of translation, interpretation and localization.

With this complimentary association membership, Monterey Institute graduates will receive virtually all of the benefits that full NCTA members enjoy, including the opportunity to promote their services by joining NCTA’s Online and Telephone Referral Service, a subscription to NCTA’s quarterly journal, access to group mailing lists for job postings and industry and terminology inquiries, opportunities for online professional and social networking, member discounts on organization workshops and events, and much more.

NCTA and the Monterey Institute of International Studies have enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship. The Monterey Institute has been a corporate member of NCTA since 1994 and actively participates in NCTA events. Many NCTA members are past or present Monterey Institute students.
