Renowned human rights activist Larry Cox, former executive director of Amnesty International USA, will give a talk at the Irvine Auditorium of the Monterey Institute on Thursday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. His talk is titled: “A More Perfect Union: The Fight for Human Rights in the USA.”
Larry Cox has been working for peace, justice and human rights around the world for more than four decades. He is currently a senior consultant at Public Interest Projects, serving a new collaborative fund supporting human rights work in the United States. Cox served as executive director of Amnesty International USA from 2006 to 2011.
The talk is free and open to the public, and a reception will follow.
