Local Businesses, Non-Profits Connect with MIIS Students at Information Fair
August 24, 2012
Making connections was the theme of the day at the Samson Student Center on Friday, August 24 when 38 local businesses, non-profit organizations and clubs introduced their services and opportunities at the second annual Monterey Institute Information Fair. It was also a gathering that brought new and continuing students together as they all focused on the task of settling in for a new year of studies in Monterey.
Moving to a new city and starting a demanding graduate degree program can be daunting and exciting at the same time. To help students make the most of their time in Monterey the Office of Student Services invites local businesses, clubs and non-profit organizations to the MIIS Information Fair – where students can at one time and in one place collect information about everything from banking and grocery shopping to volunteer and internship opportunities. In two weeks, on September 6th, the Student Council will host its annual Club Fair to introduce all students to the very active and diverse student culture at MIIS.
