As graduates of the Monterey Institute go out in the world to “be the solution” in their chosen professions, many think back with gratitude to the Institute faculty, staff and supporters who have helped them to fulfill their personal and professional aspirations.

Alumni giving is an important measure of support for the Institute that potential grantees and large donors often ask about, and gifts of any size matter because they boost the rate of alumni participation. Last year we saw a record number of alumni (over 300) support the Institute and its future students through annual giving.

“This is quite heartening to see, for not only are alumni giving back to the programs and people at MIIS—providing internships, business plans, recruiting prospective students or hiring our recent graduates- but they are also demonstrating the importance of giving back monetarily.  Our idea that every dollar makes a difference really is true, and the increase in alumni donations truly will make a difference to many incoming students through a variety of scholarships” says Leah Gowron (MPA ‘97), director of alumni relations and annual giving.

As the financial year draws to a close at the end of this month we are hoping to report on yet another record-breaking year. Please help us set a new record for giving!
