25th Annual International Bazaar Showcases Diverse Cultures and Flavors of MIIS
April 19, 2012
For 25 years students at the Monterey Institute of International Studies have joined together in groups to prepare and offer food representing their cultural heritage at the International Bazaar. Traditionally held in April, this cherished event always draws a large crowd, and this year was no exception, as over 300 Monterey Institute faculty, staff, students, friends and family members gathered for an event that truly showcases and celebrates the diverse cultures of MIIS.
Students prepared food such as traditional American barbeque, Danish smörrebröd, Norwegian waffles, Taiwanese tea and Chinese dumplings. Guests arrived under beautiful blue skies and stayed to enjoy music and entertainment, and vote for their favorite photos in the annual MIIS Photo Contest.
