TLM: Translation Technology
February 21, 2012
The Translation & Localization Management program at the Monterey Institute prides itself on being at the cutting-edge of technology. Case in point, they are the only translation program in the world using cloud-based technology on a daily level in the classroom.
This benefits our students because the cloud-based environment allows them to get instant feedback on their computer-assisted translation exercises and quizzes. The technology also allows them to work on translations anytime with any type of computer or mobile device from anywhere that has an internet connection.
Being proficient in computer-assisted translation is becoming a very valuable skill as organizations large and small require translation to be performed faster and cheaper. So the training our students receive in that area makes them more employable because they are familiar with the latest technology in the industry.
