February 14, 2012
Many students at the Monterey Institute find that their time here has a lasting effect far beyond the education they receive. Many make friends for life and some find their life partners at MIIS. We celebrate those special connections and the stories that follow as so-called “MIIS Matches.”
In the Winter edition of the Communique newsletter, Joel Bacha (MAIPS/MATESOL ’04) and his wife Maiko Bacha (MAIPS ’03) share their story of falling in love at MIIS and following their dream of making a difference to Laos. Read the stories of more MIIS Matches. Consider sharing your MIIS Match story with the Alumni Relations Office.
