New REI CFO a Longtime Friend of MIIS

Business Wire reported that Ivar Chhina (IPS ’90) has been appointed chief financial officer of Recreational Equipment, Inc., more commonly known as REI. In addition graduating from the Institute and serving on its Board of International Advisors, Mr. Chhina is currently a partner with a San Francisco Bay Area private equity firm, and a board member and interim CEO of a Texas-based health care organization. He came to the Monterey Institute after earning a bachelor's degree in economics and political science from the University of Nevada - Reno.
