The Monterey Institute of International Studies will showcase the local and international achievements of its graduating students at the Graduate School of International Policy and Management’s second annual research and consulting projects expo (“GSIPM Expo”) on Friday, August 19.

Graduate students participating in the International Professional Service Semester, Development Project Management Institute Practicum (DPMI Plus), Team El Salvador, Team Peru, Frontier Market Scouts and International Business Plan (IBP) programs will present on their research and findings from local and international immersive learning experiences.

Student presentation topics will range from international approaches to nonproliferation, to sustainable development in Peru, policy options for addressing climate change, and capital management in Tanzania. Organizations analyzed by MIIS students in the IBP and DPMI Plus programs this year included Citrix, Inc., Monterey Mushrooms and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of Monterey.

GSIPM Expo presentation sessions will be held on the Institute’s downtown Monterey campus in the McGowan Building at 411 Pacific Street (rooms 99, 309, 100, 102) and the Casa Fuente Building at 450 Pacific Street (rooms 452 and 434) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
