Establishing a tradition of career-focused “treks,” Monterey Institute students toured a number of organizations in the Bay Area last Friday, with sustainability as the central theme for a day of networking with alumni and exploring career options.
Christa Thoeresz: What path will you walk down as an MBA student?

Christa Thoeresz (MBA ’11) never wants to wear a suit and work at an investment bank. That’s just not who she is. She would rather use business as a tool for social and environmental change.
Christa spends most of her time in the McGowan building, the center of internationally renowned Fisher International MBA Program, where you can study marketing, finance, sustainable business, and much more.
Christa and her team members recently presented their International Business Plan, a semester-long international consulting project. They worked with a company in the ski travel industry and developed a five year strategic plan for them, including a marketing plan, an in-depth analysis of the company and its competitors, and an expansion plan.
