CNS Experts Author Three of Amazon’s “Top Ten Hot New Releases in Arms Control”

August 11, 2010

Experts at the Monterey Institute’s James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) dominated Amazon’s “Top Ten Hot New Releases in Arms Control” list today with the three books they authored comprising 30 percent of the top ten. At number two is volume one of “Forecasting Nuclear Proliferation in the 21st Century: The Role of Theory,” edited by CNS Director William Potter with CNS Research Associate Gaukhar Mukhatzhanova. Volume two, “A Comparative Perspective,” is now available for pre-order and is also on the list. “The Worst Kept Secret: Israel’s Bargain with the Bomb” by CNS Senior Fellow Avner Cohen will be published in September and is also available for pre-order. Cohen’s study of Israel’s secret deal with the United States to develop nuclear weapons places third on Amazon’s list.

One more still?

As though the feat was not already astounding, isn't Dennis Gormley's "Missile Contagion: Cruise Missile Proliferation and the Threat to International Security" also by a CNS expert? He's also still on the staff list at CNS. The book is presently #9, although less new (but still on the "Hot New Releases" list).

Anyhow, great book, great academic, just looking to make sure he was included in the deserved accolades.

At number two is volume one of “Forecasting Nuclear Proliferation in the 21st Centery: The Role of Theory,”

I'm assuming it' "century" in stead of "centery"?
