Bulbul Ahammed (MBA '10) shares what it means to be an MBA student at the Monterey Institute.

Bulbul Ahammed graduated from the Monterey Institute in May 2010. Prior to coming to the Institute, Bulbul worked as a Cross-Cultural Trainer for Peace Corps Bangladesh and as an Administrative Officer for a French garment buying house. He also held a position with the Bangladesh Bank, which is similar to the Federal Reserve in the United States, as an Assistant Director of the banking inspection department.

The mixture of Bulbul's experience working with development, business and finance lead him to the Institute where he earned his MBA in international management with a specialization in international finance and economics. Bulbul's main passion is in business DNA and responsible investing. While at MIIS, Bulbul served as an Officer in the Student Council was an Institutional Advancement Fellow and was awarded the William G. McGowan scholarship, the largest scholarship given to an MBA student at the Monterey Institute. Bulbul holds an MA in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka (Bangladesh) in addition to his MBA degree.
