Writers, dancers, intellectuals, community leaders, and one technological magician took to the stage on April 16 at the Monterey Institute to explore how to "Be the Solution." TEDxMonterey (x= independently organized TED event) featured 17 speakers and over 150 guests energized by possibility, perseverance, hope, and cross-culturalism. The talks were live-streamed and interpreted into seven languages by our conference interpretation students.
While no idea or course of action will be the solution, we remain committed to making the world a better place one TEDxMonterey talk at a time. For a glimpse into the conference, view the slideshow by Ryan Gonzalez, or watch professor Kelley Calvert delve into "Hope the Verb" above. Visit Kelley's blog to learn more about her road trip adventures and book-in-progress Hope Walks into a Bar Looking for Change.
