MIIS Professor to Address TESOL Arabia Convention

On March 8, Dr. Kathi Bailey of the Monterey Institute’s Graduate School of Translation, Interpretation, and Language Education will fly to Dubai, where she will be a plenary speaker at the TESOL Arabia Convention – a regional conference on the teaching of English as a second language (TESOL) that draws attendees from the Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
At the conference, Dr. Bailey will deliver a plenary presentation on innovation in language teaching, lead a one-day workshop on classroom research methods, chair a colloquium about research on English language teaching and learning in the region, and report on a survey of language program administrators’ responsibilities.
