I was glad to hear this piece of news. Portuguese is a beautiful but complex language that has fascinated many around the world.
Unfortunately, there is a serious lack of English-speaking people and translators in Brazil. Several reasons explain this, one of which is the lack of good professional courses, like the ones offered at MIIS. As stated above, the Brazilian economy is constantly growing and is attracting more and more foreign professionals and investments. This will inevitably demand more translation and interpretation staff to accompany this growing interaction between foreigners and foreign capital and Brazilians. Similarly, the demand for Portuguese translators in the US and other countries should also grow as Brazilian businesses export and invest abroad.
