Carmen is a first generation Haitian graduate student studying International Trade, Investment and Development at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She is passionate about agriculture and micro-finance, both of which have the potential to pull out those in poverty in low-income countries. Carmen received a Bachelor’s degree in French and she taught English in the south of France after graduation. After obtaining her master's degree, she looks forward to taking the hands-on experience gained through Frontier Market Scouts and applying it to support the enterprising poor in Haiti.
