Governance: Segal Building Photo

The Segal Building, which now houses the Office of the Vice President and Dean of the Institute, was originally the Monterey Public Library.

The Middlebury Institute of International Studies is governed by the Middlebury College Board of Trustees, which has legal and fiduciary responsibility for Middlebury College, the Institute, and all other Middlebury schools and programs.

The Institute is led by Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Institute Jeff Dayton-Johnson. In this section you can meet Vice President Dayton-Johnson and his senior staff and learn more about the Middlebury College Board of Trustees. You can also learn more about accreditation for our programs.
