The Monterey Institute attracts engaged and innovative leaders from around the world to play a role in its ongoing mission to educate the next generation of international professionals.

The Monterey Institute of International Studies, a graduate school of Middlebury College, is overseen by a 15-member board of governors and led by President Sunder Ramaswamy. The Monterey Institute Board of Governors is appointed by the Middlebury College Board of Trustees.
